What’s weird is when I end up at io9 because I was one letter to the left when I started typing.

I have this friend whose brother is very obviously gay. I mean, so flamboyantly gay that he borders on an offensive stereotype. But my friend, his sister, is completely oblivious to this. So one day we’re at dinner and she’s talking about her his “roommate” and how they’re such best friends that they share the same Opentable account, and I’m just like “yeah... that’s, friendly...”

“We were out to dinner and he even pushed my brother’s stool in. Such a gentleman!”
(Yeah, bad joke, but I’m a big fan of homophones and homonyms.)

Lol, that was like when I used to bring “friends” home...

Restaurant reservation site for lazy people like me (and/or indecisive people like my wife)

And.... How does it help?

Basically all of your half-decent local restaurants are there with up-to-date listings of available reservation times, all in one place. No need to visit individual restaurant websites or make a bunch of phone calls. And it makes it easy to change. The site has been around quite a while — many restaurants’ own sites will redirect there for online reservations.

Oh weird. I haven’t made a reservation in years. We just go for dinner and there is always space. Neat idea though.

Yeah, 90% of our dining out is like that. But then a “date night” or special occasion comes up and it’s safer to be sure. I’ve been burned a couple times driving around on a Friday night, hoping for somewhere with less than an hour wait (excluding McDonald’s, which is only a 20-minute wait)

if they supplied gear for Volvo’s I’d actually find it useful. Just got an XC70 for cheap while the MR2 goes off road for a couple of months years
